Horace and Mildred Hames enjoyed their green tent on the hot day of the farmers market.  They sell furniture and different items at the Nances Creek Community Center each farmers market day.

They don’t let their age bother them since neither of them don’t  look their age.  She is enjoying 80 years and he is enjoying 79.  They have two daughters, Elaine Gilmer and Sherry Parris, four grand-children and one great grandchild.

Horace’s parents were Presley and Bessie Hames. They are both deceased.  Mildred’s parents were Chester and Elsie Coogler. They are deceased.

They attend Hughes Street C. H. Church in Piedmont.

Alone with the Hames and others invite you to the market every first Saturday in each month.

Nice article. I'm proud of my parents. I hope I'll stay as active as they are when I reach 80.

Have you, or someone you know, received help from the Piedmont Benevolence Center in the past year?
