The Piedmont Housing Authority has been asked by several area Landlords about assisting in the formation of an area Piedmont Landlord Association. This in hopes of meeting monthly to discuss areas of law that affects each and every landlord in our city and community.

The first meeting of the Landlord Association will be held on Tuesday, August 24th at 4:30 P.M. at the Housing Authority Administrative office located at 170 Craig Avenue, Piedmont, Alabama. Area landlords who are interested in attending please contact Mr. Keith Word, Executive Director of the Piedmont Housing Authority at 256-447-6734. The topic for the first meeting will be the Landlord and Tenant Law and copies will be distributed to each Landlord.

Future meetings will include discussions on Leases, Fair Housing Issues, trespass issues, attorneys, eviction action, privacy concerns, equal housing opportunities, and tenant’s rights.

The group interested in forming this association is in hopes of meeting each month to share ideas and common problems that could benefit each area Landlord in the Piedmont city and community.
