Memorial services for William Doyce “Doc” Law, 76, of Piedmont were Sunday, June 12, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Dailey Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Stewart, the Rev. Tim Smith, the Rev. Roy Thomas and Pastor Rodney Ragsdale officiating. Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Law went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 10, 2010.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jimmie Sue Law; one son, William David Law (Sarah) of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Corey Law, Amanda Clark (Skyler) and Gabe Law all of Piedmont; one sister, Ethelyene Chapman of Hokes Bluff; one brother, Roy Law (Linda) of Piedmont; sister-in-law, Louise Law of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Law was a native and lifelong resident of the Piedmont area. He retired from both Springs Industries and the Alabama Army National Guard. He was a member of Mountain Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Hazel Law; and two brothers, Jay Hugh Law and Ray Law. Memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad, P.O.Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272 or to a favorite charity.
