Funeral services for Wayne Edward Kelley, 63, was Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation. Center Chapel with the Rev. Lillie Hicks officiating. Mr. Kelley died Monday, June 7, 2010, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley Jean Kelley, of Piedmont; two daughters, Cassandra Brown and her husband, Barry, of Fayetteville, Texas and Janet Lynn Yates, of Jacksonville; a son, Kevin Dwayne Kelley, of Jacksonville; a sister, Darlene Kimberly, of Piedmont; two brothers, David Kelley, of Jacksonville and Billy Kelley, of Piedmont; four grandsons, Barry “B.J.” Brown Jr., Joshua Wayne Brown, Miles Parker Brown and Jake Brian Kelley.

Mr. Kelley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was previously employed at Blue Mountain Industries, Adelaide Mills and Union Yarn Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and two sisters. He loved his Lord and never met a stranger. When departing, he always said: “If I don’t see you again here, I will see you in heaven”. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the League of Animal Welfare, P.O.
