Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd Kyle Kiser, 81, of Piedmont were Sunday, June 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Eddie Blackwelder officiating. Burial followed at Goshen Cemetery. Mr. Kiser died Friday, May 28, 2010 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two children, Regina Welcher (Gwen) and Mike Kiser all of Piedmont; four grandchildren, Christie Welcher, Dusty Kiser, Jake Kiser and Wylie Kiser; one brother, Lamar Kiser (Ruby) of Hokes Bluff; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Matt Holiday, Doug Kelley, Tim Kelley, Jake Kiser, Gwen Welcher and Larry Holiday. Honorary Pallbearers were the Smoke Porch Group at Piedmont Health Care Center.

Mr. Kiser was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont. He was a member of the V.F.W.  and American Legion. He retired as maintenance supervisor from the Piedmont City School System. Mr. Kiser was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Ashworth Kiser. Memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad, P.O.Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272.
