Services for Sarah Ellen Brown Morgan, 76, of Piedmont were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Garry Brown, the Rev. Michael Ingram and Pastor Bert Oelschig officiating. Burial followed at Piedmont Memory Gardens. Ms. Morgan died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at her home.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Skinner and her husband Tim of Piedmont; one granddaughter, Candace Epperson and her husband Jason of Piedmont; one step-granddaughter, Sissy Skinner; one step-grandson, Michael Skinner; three great grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Epperson, Lauren Abigail Epperson and Grace Elaine Epperson; three brothers, Billy O. Brown and his wife Yvonne of Georgia, Rev. Garry Brown and his wife Linda and Larry Brown and his wife Linda all of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Phillip Kirk, Sam Wooddy, Jack Spears, Alvin Robertson, Sam Morgan, Leonard Norton, Stan Barnwell and Stan Martin.

Mrs. Morgan was a Calhoun County native and was a Piedmont resident most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted Christian, nursery coordinator, mission leader, church treasurer and Sunday School teacher. She retired from Federal Mogul with 19 1/2 years of service. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Morgan, Jr; and by her parents, Loys Shelton and Sarah Frances Love Brown. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideon Memorial Bible, P.O.
