Survivors include four daughters, Annie Mae Maddox of Heflin, Wanda Maddox and Kathy Maddox both of Piedmont and Linda King of Centre; four sons, John Maddox (Patricia), Terry Maddox (Maylene), Alton Maddox (Evelyn) all of Piedmont and Ronnie Maddox (Teresa) of Heflin; six granddaughters, Rebecca Bonner, Cassandra Maddox, April Coffey, Lisa Rodgers, Siovan Norris and Syconda Shaw; nine grandsons, Michael Maddox, Dewayne Maddox, Jimmy Bonner, Brett Shields, Eddie Burks, Adam Maddox, Jonathon Maddox, Glenn Brown and Carlton Bonner; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Tolbert of Jacksonville and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Bonner, Eddie Burks, Glenn Brown, Brett Shields, Jonathon Maddox and Adam Maddox. Mrs. Maddox was a resident of Piedmont most her life. She was a homemaker, enjoyed working in her flowers and garden, and loved her dog. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maddox; two daughters, Edith Maddox and Shelia Shields; two sons, Eddie Maddox and Donnie Maddox; one brother, J.W. Coggins and one sister, Lola Kilgore.
