Survivors include his wife, Kathy Curtis of Piedmont; three sons, Marty Raney (Michelle) of Piedmont, Brandon Curtis of Florida and Tony Curtis (Cissy) of Piedmont; one daughter, April Folsom (Matthew) of Piedmont; 12 grandchildren; parents, Cecil and Doris Curtis of Piedmont; two brothers, Johnnie Curtis and Gary Curtis (Connie) all of Piedmont; several nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Jacob Curtis.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Curtis, Gary Curtis, Mark Stone, Johnny Hitchcock, Gary Hardin and Jacob Curtis. Honorary pallbearers were David Harris, Jim Clark, Bernie Mitchell, Charlie Gamble and employees of Mr. Curtis’s work crews.
Mr. Curtis was born in Florida and had lived in Piedmont for the past 35 years. He loved children, fishing, and was a huge NASCAR fan. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Lee Raney; his grandmother, Clara Maddox; and by his father-in-law, Willard Tucker.
