Memorial services for David Lee Burns, 42, of Rabbittown were Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Grimes Cemetery. Mr. Burns died January 30, 2010, at his home. Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one sister, Debra Couch (Lamar) of Roy Webb; three brothers, Bruce Burns (Shelia) of Jacksonville and Homer Lee Burns and Horace Lee Burns, Jr. both of Rabbittown; one niece, Jennifer Burns; one nephew, Joshua Jones; two step-nieces, Sha Blevins and Desiree Turner; and special friends, Teresa Duncan, Natilee Liddy, Lee Biddy and Wayne Biddy.

Mr. Burns was a resident of Rabbittown most of his life. He was a graduate of White Plains High School, loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Josie Burns; one sister, Rosa Lee Burns; and one brother, Alvin Burns.
