Services for Phillip Alexander Medley, 58, were Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. William Cain and the Rev. Roger Boyd officiating. Burial followed at Jacksonville City Cemetery. Mr. Medley died Wednesday , February 3, 2010, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Medley of Piedmont, one son, Tyler Medley of Anniston, one daughter, Vanessa Medley of Piedmont, one sister, Brenda Uesry (Bennie) of Piedmont; two brothers, John Bailey Medley of Arab and Glenn Medley (Margaret) of Monroe, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Noel Hudson, Scott Parris, Johnny Parris, Gary Dempsey. Buddy Ledbetter and Chris Dempsey.

Mr. Medley was a native of Jacksonville and a former resident of Union Hill. He had resided in Calhoun County for the past 30 years. He was employed at Goodyear, was a wonderful musician and enjoyed playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beatrice Medley, brother, Enoch Medley and a sister, Lorna Parris.
