Sharon Anderson: Fifth Sunday at Dailey Street

The fifth Sunday of a month is a special time at Dailey Street Baptist Church. The youth are in charge of the morning services and Praise Night is held during the evening services.

This Youth Sunday the Drama Team "Forgiven" performed "The Potter's Hands" and "Revelation Song" and leader Kristy Smith along with Angela Lucas and Laura and Andrew Posey sang a special song. Other members of the team include Tyler Lucas, Candace Gilmore, Tiffany Murner, and Misty Chastain.

The message was brought by special guest, Brother Wayne King.

Kristy Smith was also in charge of Praise Night. The Drama Team gave another performance followed by other songs from Louise Kerns; Arlene Minter and Kristy; Jonathan and Mason Wayman; Madison Brown; Brianna Smith and Stevey Jenkins; Angela Lucas, Ansley Stephens, Alexis Jenkins, and Chase Jenkins. Ann Meeks and Joan Haney gave inspirational devotionals after which Andrew Posey played a song on his saxophone.

The Bible Drill Team sang the Books of the Bible song as well as the nine scripture verses they have learned so far. Members include Angela Lucas, Pamela Anderson, Ansley Stephens, Kalum Smith, Alexis Jenkins and Logan Smith.

Kalum Smith played the piano after which his father, Pastor Tim Smith, presented baptism certificates to Bonnie East, Sarah Law, Jack and Faye Poore, Wanda Klein, Tyler Lucas, Angela Lucas and Logan Smith.

Acteens leader, Cathy Posey, presented award charm bracelets to Laura Posey, Pamela Anderson, Angela Lucas and Tiffany Murner for their mission work. Misty Chastain, GA leader, presented her girls, Brianna Smith, Ansley Stephens, Alexis Jenkins and Audrey Raulerson, with badges to go on their sashes to commemorate their hard work on missions and study.
