GOSSETT

Funeral services for Gerald Edward Gossett, 58, of Piedmont was Friday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tommy McCoy officiating. Burial followed at Gnatville Cemetery. Mr. Gossett died Tuesday in Piedmont.

Survivors include one son, Larry Gossett (Lacresa) of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Cameron Gossett and Meadow Gossett; special friend, Rita Smith; two chosen grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were family and friends.

Mr. Gossett was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont. He was a former employee of SCT Yarn and was currently employed at Jacksonville State University.

PRICE

Funeral services for Roberta Lynn Price, 42, was Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Kelly Lee and Bishop Leroy Austin officiating. Burial was in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Ragland. Mrs. Price died Friday, November 13, 2009, at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Price, of Piedmont; one daughter Tiffany Barksdale, of Piedmont; four sons, Justin Barksdale, of Weaver, Nick Hinton, of Piedmont, Tony Price, of Piedmont and Lonnie Barksdale, of Oxford; four sisters, Sandra Sweener, of Piedmont, Bonnie Barnes, of Collinsville, Rosemary Robinson, of Talladega and Becky Smith, of Georgia; six brothers, Edward Barksdale, of Lincoln, Billy Joe Barksdale, of Lincoln, Lamar Edwards, of Talladega, Benjamin Barksdale, of Piedmont, Harris Barksdale, of Albertville and Clyde Barksdale, of Ragland; two grandchildren; 13 nieces, 13 nephews and several aunts and uncles. Pallbearers were Jason Barnes, Steven Gilbert, Brian Ferguson, Jonah Shaw, Earl Jackson, Blake Barksdale, Jerry Gilbert and Josh Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Barns, Dwight Martin, Donald Wayne Higginbotham, Brandon Doster and Terry Glass.

She loved her children, grandchildren and her husband. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and having a house full of children. Mrs. Price loved watching and supporting her favorite team Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents. Leon and Annie Joyce Barksdale; one brother, Rodney Barksdale, her grandparents, Hendrix and Marie Martin and Fred and Florence Barksdale. ROGERS

Funeral services for Geraldine Sadler Rogers, 66, of Borden Springs were Monday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Eric Snider officiating. Burial followed at the Borden Springs Church of Christ Cemetery. Ms. Rogers died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Floyd Medical Center.

Survivors include a sister, Brenda Sadler Smith of Borden Springs; three children, Donna Rogers Lovoll of Nashville, GA, Donny Rogers and Denise Rogers Houck (Keith) all of Borden Springs; six grandchildren, Mitchell Rogers, Jake Thomasson, Nikki Combs, Karlee Combs, Ashley Houck and Amber Houck; one niece, Dana Clay (Darryl); and one nephew, Greg Motes. Pallbearers were Bobby McGee, Jimmy Headrick, Darryl Clay, Alan Combs, Brent Donaldson and Darrll Taylor.

Ms. Rogers was a native and lifelong resident of the Borden Springs community. She was the owner and operator of Dean's Hair Affair from 1975 — 1999 and was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Inez Sadler.
