On Oct. 4, First Baptist Church DeArmanville welcomed its new pastor, Bro. Tom Bonds and his wife, Teresa.

Bro. Tom had been on staff at parker Memorial Baptist Church for the last seven years as an associated working with single and senior adults. He has pastured more than 20 years prior to his service at parker Memorial.

He is a native Mississippian having come to Anniston in 1990 as the pastor of New Haven Baptist Church. His wife, Teresa, is a native of Anniston. They have two children — a daughter Sarah Beth and a son, Cody.

Sarah Beth is a teacher at Ohatchee High School and is married to Bro. Brad Williams, who is pastor of Greenbrier Road Baptist Church. Cody works at a community college in Fulton, Miss., as manager of the football team. They have two grandchildren — Savannah Grace and Ross Kristopher Williams.

Bro. Tom and Teresa are very excited to be at FBC DeArmanville and look forward to serving the Lord there. They give special thanks to the people at Parker Memorial Baptist Church for allowing them to serve the people there and for their prayers and support.

May God go with them and bless them in their new ministry.

Two trips I remember most arer when he took the TwixandTwen on a fish cookout on the river and then to the boys' ranch. I had never been there.

A video was done by Parker Memorial members saying goodbye and good luck.

You will be missed at Parker.
