Spring Garden has never had a team reach the AHSAA state fast-pitch softball tournament. All that will change at 9 oclock Thursday morning when the Panthers (22-9) play Millry in the first round of the Class 1A double elimination tournament at Montgomery.
A season of continued improvement ended one series short of its goal for the Piedmont softball team.
Spring Garden football fans will have to wait a few extra days for their first glimpse of the 2008 Panthers.
