Services for Frances Pace Lindsey, 89, were Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial followed at Piedmont Memory Gardens. Mrs. Lindsey died Thursday, January 28. 2010 at The Meadows of Jacksonville.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Pace (Rachel) of Piedmont; a daughter, Edwina Bradley (Steve) of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Tammie Gunnels, Jonna Ledbetter, Lacey Ward, Stephen Bradley and Matt Pace; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gunnels-Harper, Jonathan Gunnels, Erin Gunnels, Lindsey Minton, Anna Pace, Canyon Pace, Alivia Ward and Ava Ward; one sister, Shelby Ledbetter of Minter; one niece, Brenda Fulkerson of Auburn; one nephew, Wendell Ledbetter of Georgia; and several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chuck Gunnels, Stephen Bradley, Matt Pace, Andy Ward, Jeremy Studdard and Cody Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers were Dell Wagoner and Aaron Wade.
Mrs. Lindsey was a native and resident of Piedmont most of her life. She was a long time employee of the Gateway Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Pace and J. C. Lindsey; a son and daughter-in-law, Parkie and Martha Pace; infant grandchildren, Lisa Michelle Pace and Jerry Matthew Pace; her parents, Ed and Ola Parker; and a sister, Carolyn Frady. The family would like to extend special thanks to Tonya Wade and the staff of The Meadows of Jacksonville and to Shirley Keller of Hope Hospice.
