Mrs. Woodward taught Sunday school, she was an avid Auburn fan, and a member of the Garden Club and the League of Women Voters. She was an artist and loved china paintings. Mrs. Woodward painted everything from barrel staves and barn siding to china. Her favorite was painting in oils. She was a humorous lady with many yarns to tell; she never met a stranger and was interested in everyone. Mrs. Woodward was a very generous person who loved to share and if you admired something of hers she would give it to you. She provided a home for an orphan, Manford Eugene (Mink) Wilson, after he was too old to stay in an orphanage, she sent a studious boy to college. Where she saw a need she provided the means. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, sister-in-law, and cousin. Mrs. Woodward loved antiques and "the hunt" of them. She saw beauty in the unexpected things. Where most people would see a beautiful flowering tree, she loved the bark on trees in winter. She was a fabulous cook who fed everyone and left behind numerous wonderful memories.
