Letter to the editor: Doctor doesn’t get credit he deserves for helping Piedmont

05-06-2008

I am very upset about the article on Dr. Ulrich that was in The Piedmont Journal recently. I feel that it was poorly written and not fair to Dr. Ulrich. The more I read the angrier I got about the article. Dr. Ulrich is a fine man and an excellent doctor. He continued seeing patients even though he was fighting a serious illness himself. He takes wonderful care of his elderly patients as well as others.

Dr. Ulrich is a great doctor who cares about his patients. A heart specialist told me that Dr. Ulrich is one of the best doctors in the area. He said that the people of Piedmont don’t know what a fine doctor they have. I agree with him; I am very glad that Dr. Ulrich is my physician. He saved my family member’s life after a larger hospital sent him home with several life-threatening medical conditions, two of which could have resulted in death. He cares very much about his patients; during this ordeal his primary concern is his patients.

I will proudly stand up for Dr. Ulrich. He is one of the most kind and caring men I have ever known and I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves for taking care of a great many of the people in Piedmont.
