Thankful homecoming
Homecoming will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Thankful Baptist Church, 308 N. Church St. Rev. Cedric Williams of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Cedar Bluff will speak. Revival services will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 15-18 with Rev. Quinton Woods of Anniston speaking.
Daycare and preschool
The Wee Kare Daycare and Preschool is accepting children 3 weeks to 12 years of age. It is open from 5:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enrollment is open now for the preschool program which begins Sept. 2 for ages 2 ½ to 5. A van transports children to and from Piedmont Elementary. Fall revival
Dailey Street Baptist Church will have a fall revival at 6 p.m. through Thursday, Aug. 28, featuring a different preacher and singers each night. Tim Smith will speak and the church choir will perform on Sunday. James O. Wallace will speak and the Watsons will sing on Monday. Tuesday will feature Corey Smith speaking with the Gospel Three and Bill singing. Wendell Dutton and the Crimson Flow will speak and sing on Wednesday. On Thursday Marlon Greenwood will speak and The Heaven Seekers will sing.
PHS reunion
A reunion is being planned for Piedmont High School classes 1973 and 1974. The reunion committee is trying to locate Randy Haney, David Hall, Charles Cotton, Keith Walker, Debra Little Parris, Linda Christian Bolden and Irene Ray Nickes from the class of 1974. Revival each Tuesday
There will be a camp meeting style revival at 6 p.m. each Tuesday in August at Faith Baptist Church.
