Youth players can attend Dixie Youth tournament

The Dixie Youth Majors (11-12) state baseball tournament will be played in Anniston July 19-24. The 12-team, double-elimination tournament opens with six games on Saturday, starting at 3:30 p.m., and continues daily until the champion is crowned on Thursday. All games will be played at the Anniston Youth Sports Complex at McClellan.

Adult tickets are $6 on Saturday, with $1 of each admission going to the Dixie Youth scholarship fund. Adult tickets are $5 each day the remainder of the tournament. Children ages 7-14 wearing their youth baseball or softball uniform shirt will be admitted free. Admission for those not in uniform will be $3. All children six and under will be admitted free. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
