• The worship service at Goshen begins at 10:45 a.m. and follows Sunday school which begins at 9:45 a.m. Times for Sunday evening activities during the summer months include choir practice at 5:30 p.m., Can-do-kids (age 3-6th grade) and UMYF (7th-12th grades) at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday activities begin with a meal aat 6 p.m. followed by Bible study on the character of David led by our pastor, Deborah Moon. The youth and children also have activities beginning after the meal. • The children are gearing up for the fall. Plans are being made for a swim party in August. After school starts in the fall, the children will begin working on a Christmas musical.
• Goshen Golden Rockers will have a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the Family Life Center. All area senior adults are invited. Contact Marion Formby at 447-2071 for more information.
• Bret Parris continues to update our web site at www.goshenumc.org. From the web site you can view pictures of previous events, learn about services and upcoming events, view the church newsletter and listen to sermons. Check out the site regularly to see all the new additions.
• Applications are now being accepted for Discovery No. 5. “Discovering God through Scripture” will be the theme of the Discovery weekend scheduled for July 25-27. This special weekend is open to all area youth entering the seventh grade through this year’s seniors and is co-directed by Sharla Parris and Emily Wood.
