• We have been proud to call Tommy and Gay Ledbetter our pastor family since 2001. On Sunday, June 8, we celebrated their ministry at Goshen and expressed our love for them and our thanks for all they have helped to accomplish in our church and community. The Ledbetters began their ministry at Centre First United Methodist Church June 15. We will miss them and wish them well.
• We welcome our new pastor, Deborah Moon, to our church and community.
She comes to us from Guntersville First United Methodist Church where she was associate pastor and leader of their Genesis worship service which is an off campus worship and program center designed to reach out to those in need.
We also welcome Holly Martin who has agreed to be the youth leader at Goshen.
Holly lives in Centre and has already been involved with our youth through Discovery and more recently through meeting with the youth on Wednesday nights.
• “Discovering God through Scripture” will be the theme of the Discovery weekend scheduled for July 25-27.
This special weekend is open to all area youth entering the seventh grade through this year’s seniors and involves extensive planning and organization prior to Discovery weekend. Team meetings are now in progress.
