Solid Rock Cafe offers live entertainment two nights during the week

06-24-2008

Solid Rock Cafe’s first Saturday night live performance was at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 21.

It featured Joe McCary and his daughter Gillian of Jacksonville who played folk music until 8:30 p.m.

McCary played guitar and harmonica and Gillian played violin, mandolin and guitar. They played to a full house.

Solid Rock Cafe will have music from 7-8:30 p.m. each Saturday night.

The doors open at 6:45 p.m. Upcoming performers include Kelli Johnson, the Baileys, Calhoun County Pipers and Cure 4 Gravity.

Local musicians interested in performing or persons wanting to know the music lineup are asked to call Jennifer at 447-1960. The entertainment is free but donations are appreciated.

Solid Rock offers a variety of sandwiches, drinks and ice cream along with wireless Internet and is open Tuesday-Saturday.
