Aug. 4

• Theft of property — An employee of a convenience store reported the theft of a Slim Jim, prepaid Visa, phone charger, and four phone cards that occurred between 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

• Harassing communications — A 28-year-old female reported an acquaintance had made harassing communications to her between 5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m.

• Burglary — A garage door panel was reported damaged in a burglary that occurred on Industrial Park.

• Burglary — An incident of burglary was reported to have occurred on Dailey Street between 1:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 5:15 p.m. Aug. 4.

• Theft of Property II — A resident of James Street reported the theft of a HP laptop computer valued at $600. It was recovered the same day.

Aug. 5

• Criminal trespass, criminal mischief — A resident of Second Avenue reported a wooden gazebo was damaged in an incident that occurred between 3:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 5

• Burglary, criminal mischief — A resident of Haslam Street reported $200 damage done to a glass storm door and the theft of 10 X-box video games, 52 Playstation video games, and an Emerson DVD player.

Aug. 6

• Criminal mischief — A resident of Haslam Street reported $750 damage done to a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado pickup that occurred between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

• Theft of property — A resident of North Fifth Avenue reported the theft of four 15” chrome rims valued at $1,000.

• Theft of property — A resident of the 500 block of North Center Avenue reported the theft of a Florida ID card valued at $15.

Aug. 7

• Criminal possession of a forged instrument — An employee of a grocery store turned over to police a counterfeit $50 bill.

• Criminal trespass — An employee of a convenience store reported an incident that occurred between 6:40 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.

Aug. 8

• Harassment — A resident of Oak Street reported an incident that occurred between 6:45 p.m. and 7:05 p.m.

• Attempted burglary — A resident of Haslam Street reported a relative was suspected in an incident that occurred between 8 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. that resulted in damage to a window screen.

Aug. 9

• Theft of property — An employee of a restaurant reported the theft of $5 and a prepared meal that occurred between 3 a.m. and 3:35 a.m.

• Assault III — A 23-year-old female reported an acquaintance was involved in an incident that occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

• Domestic violence — A 21-year-old female reported an incident that occurred around 8 p.m.

• Theft of property — A 22-year-old female reported the theft of $60 in cash and a set of keys that occurred on Hamilton Drive between 11 p.m. and midnight.

Arrests

• Aug. 4: Officers arrested Charla Colvin Taylor, 34, at 3:57 p.m. on charges of contempt.

• Aug. 4: Gary Cranston Barnett, 43, was arrested for driving under the influence and Theft of Property III.

• Aug. 4: At 4:59 p.m. officers arrested Clifton Dean Ackles, 29, on charges of contempt of court.

• Aug. 6: Officers arrested David Arnold Smith, 22, on a court order.

• Aug. 7: Officers arrested Preston Eugene Keller, 27, on three warrants for failure to appear.

• Aug. 8: Officers arrested Clayton Gowens, Jr., 38, on a warrant for charges of Domestic Violence III at 12:18 p.m.

• Aug. 8: At 5:36 p.m. Rebecca McMahan Spears, 28, was arrested on a warrant for receiving Stolen Property III.

• Aug. 8: Officers arrested Jimmy Lee Bonner, 24, at 8:41 p.m. on charges of driving under the influence.

• Aug. 8: Wallace Eugene Peoples, 42, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. on North Fifth Avenue and charged with driving under the influence.

• Aug. 9: Officers arrested Clifford Anyour Wright, 25, at 2 a.m. on charges of Domestic Violence III.

• Aug. 9: Donna Vines Bailey, 52, was arrested at 2:57 a.m. and charged with driving under combined influence.

• Aug. 9: Officers arrested Michael Glenn Gowens, 22, at 8:45 p.m. and charged him with driving under the influence.

• Aug. 10: Officers arrested Timothy Lee Lockridge, 30, at 10:45 p.m. and charged him with public intoxication.
