• Theft of property, criminal trespass — A resident of Gnatville Road reported the theft of two political signs.

• Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle — A resident of North Center Avenue reported the disappearance of a bottle of perfume and a CD from his vehicle.

• Harassment — A 30-year-old resident reported an incident that occurred on the 600 block of Anniston Avenue between 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. July 27.

July 29

• Harassment — A resident of Cook Street had officers document an incident that occurred at 8:54 p.m.

• Theft of services — A taxi driver from Anniston reported a $72 fare was not paid after transporting a customer 26.4 miles.

• Harassment — A 28-year-old female had officers document an incident that occurred between 11 p.m. July 28 and 9:45 a.m. July 29.

July 30

• Theft of property — A resident of Ridgeway Drive reported the theft of a Lhasa-Apso dog valued at $500.

July 31

• Theft of property — A resident of Vigo Road reported a 1997 Honda valued at $3,000 was taken between 11 p.m. and 11:41 p.m.

• Breaking and entering a motor vehicle, criminal mischief — A resident reported the theft of a Motorola 2-way radio valued at $1,000 and damage done to a lock.

Aug. 1

• Burglary — A business located in the Piedmont Plaza was reported to have been burglarized between 3:15 a.m. and 7 a.m. A box of Karma spray, 29 glass pens, unknown quantities of rolling papers, two boxes of individually packaged cigars, three trays of lighters, and postal scales were taken during the incident.

• Theft of property — A resident of Wagon Road reported the theft of a 1988 Chevy Celebrity valued at $500.

• Theft of property — A resident of Hughes Street reported the theft of two German Shepherd puppies valued at $175.

Aug. 2

• Harassment — A resident of Piedmont Cutoff reported an incident that occurred between 11:30 a.m. and noon at a local grocery store.

• Harassing communications — A resident of Rocky Hill Drive reported receiving harassing communications between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Aug. 3

• Harassment — A resident of South Fifth Avenue reported an incident that occurred between 8:45 a.m. Aug. 2 and 9:15 a.m. Aug. 3.

• Domestic violence (assault), unlawful imprisonment — A 23-year-old female reported an incident that occurred between 1:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.

• Harassing communication — A 22-year-old female reported an incident that occurred around 3:45 p.m.

• Harassing communications — A 25-year-old male reported an incident involving an ex-girlfriend that occurred between 8:33 p.m. and 9:59 p.m.

Arrests

• July 30: Officers arrested James Tyler Fortenberry, 21, at 11:50 p.m. on two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with first degree receiving stolen property.

• Aug. 1: Officers arrested Jeannie Dawn Barrett, 48, at 11 a.m. on a bond revocation.

• Aug. 1: Greggory Allen Abernathy, 20, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving on the wrong side of the road at 7 a.m.
