• Menacing — A resident of Gadsden Street reported an incident involving a neighbor that occurred between noon and 2:54 p.m.

July 2

• Harassment — A resident of Anniston Avenue reported an incident that occurred at 9:48 a.m.

• Theft of property — A 42-year-old resident reported the theft of $250 in currency that occurred on Sparks Street between 4 p.m. July 1 and 10:57 p.m. July 2.

July 5

• Assault — A resident of Jacksonville reported an incident involving a friend that occurred on Barlow Street between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

July 6

• Breaking and entering a motor vehicle — A 50-year-old resident reported the theft of a pocketbook containing checks, an unknown amount of jewelry, a Cingular cell phone, and phone charger from a vehicle located on the 500 block of Second Avenue between 7:30 p.m. July 4 and midnight July 5. A pocketbook, camera phone, and Zippo lighter were also reported taken from the vehicle by a 34-year-old resident.

• Criminal mischief — A resident of South Harris Avenue reported $100 damage done to the side mirror of a 2001 Dodge truck that occurred between 8 p.m. July 5 and 12:30 p.m. July 6.

• Theft of property — A resident of Steinburg Road reported the theft of a wallet containing various credit cards, insurance cards, and an Alabama driver’s license that occurred at Dollar General. Also taken were two diamond rings, a gold band, and $480 in currency.

July 7

• Theft of property — Three hundred dollars in currency was reported taken from a location on Seaboard Avenue between noon and 5:30 p.m.

• Theft of property — A resident of Calhoun Street reported the theft of a Stihl brand weedeater and an orange 5-gallon gas can.

• Theft of Property III — An employee of Dollar General reported the theft of a pack of pens and a pack of Sharpie markers, total value of $4, that occurred between 7:50 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

July 8

• Theft of property — The owner of a used car business reported the theft of a 1974 Jeep CJ-5 that occurred between June 25 and July 8.

• Theft of Property III — A resident of Jones Road reported the theft of seven tubes of steel valued at $84.

July 9

• Theft of property — A resident of the 600 block of North Church Street reported the theft of a check.

July 10

• Burglary — A resident of the 400 block of Johnson Street reported a burglary that took place between 6:45 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. July 7. A Sharp brand flat screen TV, valued at $1,200, was taken in the incident.

July 11

• Theft of property — A resident of Riddle Avenue reported the theft of three gasoline containers and $41 worth of gasoline that occurred between 6 p.m. July 5 and 8:30 a.m. July 11.

July 12

• Theft of property — A resident of South Center Avenue reported the theft of a cedar jewelry chest and contents with an unknown value and two bottles of White Diamond perfume valued at $240.

• Theft of property — A resident of Foskett Avenue reported the theft of an electric chain saw which was valued at $100, two black jack stands valued at $30, and a set of blades valued at $70 that occurred between June 13 and July 12.

July 13

• Assault — An incident of assault was reported to have happened on Highway 278 East at 12:20 p.m.

Arrests

• June 30: Officers arrested Margaret B. Crane, 44, at 9 a.m. on warrants for failure to appear on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court. At 1:15 p.m.

• June 30: Charles D. Simmons, 47, was arrested at the Lamont Motel and charged with public intoxication.

• June 30: James Lloyd Blake, Jr., 24, was arrested on a warrant from another agency for criminal trespass on Vigo Road at 9:33 p.m.

• July 1: Officers arrested Dewayne Pierce Lane, 38, at 5:48 p.m. on a warrant for failure to pay on charges of Criminal Mischief III.

• July 1: Grayson Sloan Christian, 39, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. on Highway 278 West and charged with driving under the influence.

• July 2: Officers arrested Marvin Floyd Fortenberry, 39, on a warrant for promoting Prison Contraband III.

• July 2: April Marlowe Leopard, 30, was arrested on Highway 278 at 1:04 p.m. on a warrant for Forgery II and released to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.

• July 2: Officers arrested Joshua Daniel Sprayberry, 21, at 8:21 p.m. and charged him with driving under the influence.

• July 3: Officers arrested Dennis Ray Rainey, 43, on a capias warrant at 2:35 p.m.

• July 4: Byron Jake Baily, 26, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at 9:59 p.m.

• July 5: Officers arrested Arthur James Waby, 30, on a warrant for failure to appear.

• July 7: Officers arrested Robert Thomas Grayson, 32, and Candace La’Nae Diamond, 25, on charges of contempt of court.

• July 7: Jerri Dawn Kerns, 35, was arrested at 8:06 p.m. and charged with Theft of Property III.

• July 10: Officers arrested Michael Blake Clark, 22, on warrants from another agency for probation violation.

• July 12: Officers arrested Dervon Zermis Ohara, 21, of Anniston, on a warrant for failure to appear.

• July 12: Jane Thais Green, 22, of Gadsden, was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay at 12:45 a.m.

• July 13: Officers arrested Kenneth Earl Reaves, Jr., 41, at 1:07 a.m. and charged him with public intoxication.

• July 13: At 2:07 a.m., Bryan Masters, 25, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.

• July 13: At 3:04 a.m., officers arrested Holly Hamlin Cobb, 27, on Highway 21 and charged her with driving under the influence.
