April 28

• Criminal possession of forged instrument — Officers investigated a $125 check forged on a Wachovia account.

• Fighting – documentation — Officers documented an incident of fighting that occurred at Piedmont High School at 12:40 p.m.

April 29

• Criminal trespass — A female resident of Oak Street reported an incident at 4:28 a.m. involving a boyfriend.

• Theft of property — A resident of Haines Street reported the theft of a Garcia spinning reel and Fenwick rod valued at $90, a Pflueger reel and All-Star rod valued at $109, and a Shakespear Tiger combo valued at $30. The items were recovered at a local pawnshop which filed a report of having received stolen property.

• Criminal possession of forged instrument — Officers investigated a forged $10.00 check drawn on a Wachovia account.

• Theft of property — A resident of Oxford reported having her purse and contents valued at $900 stolen by the “father of the baby” while at the Sports Complex between 6:15 p.m. and 6:25 p.m.

April 30

• Harassing communications — A minor reported receiving harassing communications between Feb. 1 and April 29.

• Theft of property — The owner of a scrap yard reported the theft of 33 catalytic converters valued at $31,698.71 between noon April 25 and 10 a.m. April 30.

May 1

• Forgery (3 counts) — A resident of Eubanks Avenue reported three checks totaling $135 were forged at various business locations between April 17 and April 28.

• Theft of property — A resident of Cook Street reported the theft of $30 in unleaded fuel and $80 damage done to a 1997 Mercury Sable between 8 p.m. April 30 and 7:30 a.m. May 1.

Arrests

• April 28: Officers arrested Robert Wayne Smith, 33, after an incident of domestic violence that occurred at 9:30 p.m. He was held pending $1,000 bond.

• April 29: Officers arrested Kenneth Earl Smith, Jr., 38, at 4:28 a.m. on charges of criminal trespass III. Reports indicate he was drinking at the time of the arrest, but did not resist.

• April 29: Lisa Marie Fuqua, 28, was arrested at the Calhoun County jail at 1:30 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of speeding. She was held pending $300 cash bond.

• April 30: Robert Wayne Smith, 33, was arrested on a warrant for theft of property at 9:24 a.m.

• May 2: Cynthia Lee Delise, 43, was arrested shortly after midnight and charged with driving under the influence and failure to pay on charges of driving while license was revoked. She was held pending $1,000 bond and $290 in fines.

• May 2: Valarie P. Brown, 28, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of driving while license was revoked.
